Kelly Virgona updated.jpg

Kelly started adding simple balloon creations to her party packages almost 10 years ago, and they are now the most popular offering in her business for birthday parties and corporate events.

She has been a part of the Australian balloon twisting community since the first Oz Jam and an avid attendee ever since.  She has attended BASA Victoria Balloon Camps and Twist and Shout in Las Vegas.

Kelly won the 2017 OzJam “Entertainer Line Up” and encourages everyone to take part in the competitions on offer. She also introduced the “Newbie Ambassador” program to OzJam, dedicated to welcoming new attendees as well as, return attendees that may be travelling alone!

Kelly is a paediatric nurse at the Royal Children's Hospital, bringing balloons and smiles to her patients everyday!  She is looking forward to learning even more about the art of balloons, networking with both new and old balloon friends, and coordinating the fun and chaos of the OzJam Jam Room in 2020.

My love affair with balloons began nearly 10 years ago as ‘just an add on’ to face painting parties. It didn’t take long before I was hooked!

I attended my first OzJam in 2015, and was lucky enough to place first in the medium sculpture category in both 2015 and 2016. This really reflects my passion for creating unique ‘one off’ creations for my clients.

My business sees me primarily twisting at corporate events with occasional forays into the decor world. I did my CBA in 2016 as a way to extend not only my skills but also my knowledge of the balloon industry. I have taught classes locally in Queensland after many a request!

I’m super excited to be a part of the 2020 OzJam team and I’m looking forward to working with the delightful Kelly Virgona to bring delegates an awesome jam room experience.
